Staying on top of trends, creating polished content, and posting consistently takes time. Time that famed hairstylist coach and educator Chris Baran and his team at Fuel Productions didn’t have.
Despite 50+ years of beauty industry experience and his well-known reputation among hair stylists in North America, Chris was struggling to stand out in a sea of “experts” on social media. Without a dedicated team member focused solely on content, it became an uphill climb to plan, create, and publish consistently—let alone keep up with shifting algorithms and audience expectations.

Our first step was to develop a custom, channel-specific strategy that aligned with Chris’ broader marketing efforts—balancing education, entertainment, and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
The strategy leaned into platform-native tools like Instagram Reels, Story content, and Facebook Groups to nurture Chris’s existing community, while incorporating newer features like Instagram’s Trial Reels, YouTube Shorts, and collab posts to reach new audiences. We also created recurring video series to showcase Chris’s expertise and coaching techniques in an engaging, on-brand way.
To streamline Chris’s content creation process, Citrus provides monthly content calendars, ongoing filming guidance, and performance coaching, allowing him to batch-record and stay ahead of schedule. We also designed custom graphic and carousel templates to create visual consistency across platforms.
